Astronomy and Education Blog Relaunch!

2009 is a BIG year for Astronomy. It is the 400th anniversary of Galileo’s first look through a telescope into space, and the 40th anniversary of the first landing on the moon. Because it is such an important year, 2009 has been named the International Year of Astronomy.

2009 is also the year that I have to rerun for my seat on my local school committee. I feel that I have had a very successful first term, and I hope to be able to continue to serve my local community.

Because of these two major events, I have decided to refocus and relaunch my blog. If you are looking for my gaming and software engineering content, those will be moving to a new blog in the near future. Old articles relating to astronomy and education will be returning to Ridiculous Thoughts over time, but frankly I’m excited about some new content.

Keep your eyes on this spot. Great things are coming as early as today.

Steve
